Pirates good, Ogres bad!!!

Gosh its been too long I hate waiting this long to post because I dont know where to start. Well last week we saw Pirates on opening night. We were in the second row but it wasnt too bad. So yes it was a little too long but we both really enjoyed it regardless. Some parts I cant understand the dang pirate lingo but I will see it again soon so I can figure things out better. We got out a little after midnight and boy do the freaks come out!! Its fun seeing the pirates all dressed up though. So this memorial weekend we went to the annual softball tournament in Show Low. We stayed at my sisters cabin and Vance and Tina and kids went with us. We had fun riding quads and playing games and just chillin in the 75 degree weather. It was great. Mark did good playing but they lost 2 or 3 games short of the win. Darn it! He really wanted that bat bag they give out! Oh well. We will be back for Labor day tournament! So we saw Shrek 3 and we were not impressed. It had a good story but just kind of lacked interest to the story if that makes sense.I was wrestling with Owen the whole movie so maybe that was my problem. We will probably still buy it. Owen had two firsts this week, first time swimming and first time quad riding. It was eventful and fun! Im so lucky to have these three healthy kids. We are really starting to have fun doing family stuff. Minus the hard work and laundry to do when we get home I really like these little family trips.

Marks brother Brett and Emily had their baby on mothers day. YEAH!! So grandma was here and we had dinner with her and she stayed a day with us. We were lucky Emily stayed another day in th hospital so grandma could play with us. (Love ya Emily glad you are doing okay!) So grandma told me to take advantage of her and go run some errands. I went to the mall of course. It was so fun not having a sroller. I cant remember the last time I went without a child in tow. It was my mothers day treat to myself. Olivia is doing swim lessons this week and next and she is doing awesome. no crying. Everyone else in her class is though so it makes it hard. Caden wont need lessons we are just going to start swimming alot I will refresh his memory. This week has been kind of frustrating. My poor Olivia is sick. And when I say sick she is usually okay during the day(hence the swim lessons) but she throws up every night!! She has a cough too so I thought maybe the drainage or the off balance of her equalibriam was making her sick buts its been over a week. I took her to the doctor yesterday and he gave her some syrup to help with nausea. she still threw up last night. It took me an hour to clean up and then Owen woke up. Needless to say Im probably getting as much sleep as Emily with a new baby!!! Im so sick of throw up! I think that is the worst thing to deal with as a mother. Because you see your child so sick and cant do anything but hold the bucket. Gross okay enough. So tonight after work Mark is taking Caden to Disneyland! Him and a buddy from work are taking their kids. Fun fun for him! He is so excited and Caden cant wait either! So its just me and the babes this weekend. WE will be busy though.

Wow its been a crazy week. Caden had preschool graduation last week. He was so cute in his little hat. Off to kindergarten! Then Mark and Caden went to father and sons on friday. They had fun.Cadens favorite was roasting marshmallows of course. I debated about going out for a chick night but decided to stay home put the two little ones to sleep by 7:30 and watching chick flicks and Greys Anatomy. Btw Im so sick of Meredith Grey. I dont think she is cute. I like Addison more and more and I love her name. If Owen was a girl thats what I would of named him. But I love my little man!! I absolutely hate sleeping bymyself because every noise freaks me out. But I was able to get some sleep.I still missed my Mark. I love feeling his back against mine and knowing he is there. Saturday I went to breakfast with my girls for Ketsys birthday. We went to Crackers and company. YUMMY! It was fun to chit chat . That night we went to a party at Bob and Amys. We played games. I got Mark convinced he needed some clothes so we went to Tillys (its right by Bobs house) and went shopping. That place is dangerous. You can buy for our whole family in there. We both realized that we could spend all day in their shopping so we pulled ourselves away.I got Caden and me a pair of shoes.And Mark got some cool stuff.It was fun. I love when Mark gets into shopping because he buys more than me and then I dont feel bad getting something.Hee hee! Another reason I love Mark is he is not a HUGE sports fan. But when it is playoffs or something good he likes to keep up. So last night he went to the suns game. He said it was pretty awesome. Thanks to his mom and Max he spent his birthday money on tickets.Thanks Lynna! Olivia had dance pictures yesterday. It was so cute. I really hope she participates in her recital on saturday. Its too bad she wont have any Grandmas or Grandpas their to watch!Haha!Love you mom and Dad! Keep on walking strong to that temple! I swear the third child makes your life that much busier. I dont have enough hours in the day to do all the stuff I NEED to do yet alone the things I WANT to do. Someday I will get to enjoy my new sewing machine.

Happy Day

Okay so we saw Disturbia on friday and we all thought it was pretty good. I have heard mixed reviews but it was good for me. Aunt Amy actually screamed out loud. It was hilarious. So that was a good date night. And then saturday Mark took Caden to work with him. It was a happy day. Olivia was enjoyable,no screaming. And Owen was a dream! I ran a couple errands and was going to attempt the mall but by the time I did my needed stuff,I was drained from the heat and we were all hungry so we came home and made cookies ( Olivia and mines favorite thing) Itwas like 103 degrees mucho caliente!Every year you forget how the sun is so draining on adults and babies. Owen was sick of getting in and out of the hot car. Pretty soon I will be confined to the home because we wont want to go anywhere.Except to go swimming at Christinas wonderful pool!Yea I found swim lessons and something fun for Caden to do this summer so we might survive after all! Oh yeah we got the old 9:oo am phone call that the bishop would like to meet with us on sunday.We had stake conference at 1:00 so we were being lazy. We got everyone dressed up and went for our interview. He called me to miamaid advisor and Mark to ward missionary. Its about time he gets a calling that lets him use his wonderful talents. I was in young womens in my old ward and loved it so Iam excited. And girls camp is in june and I have a nursing baby so it doesnt look promising. Everytimne I want to go to girls camp Iam pregnant or have a new baby. I would really like to go so maybe next year. Mark said noway is he taking off work to watch the kids so I can go anyway. I wonder how he is going to feel when I tell him about the 4or 5 day cruise with my girlfriends for 10 year high school reunion.Hmmmm probably not happy.

Seriously,that was hilarious on The Office last night. So I went to my first Bunko marathon last night. I say marathon because these ladies talk and play til midnight or later. It was so much fun!!!My good friend Kelly Bascom invited me to sub. I have to give a big shout out to the Judy Brown daughters, because 4 of them were there last night and they are so stinkin funny!! And they are becoming newly addicted to blogging! Thanks for the great night ladies!!
The salon my brother works at is doing a huge Grand Opening on Saturday night from 6;30 until 10pm. It should be lots of fun if any girls want to go. Its on Valvista and Pecos and its called SalonXs. Kinda by Kohls. Oh yea, we finally bought a good camera so now our pictures will be really good. I was sick of looking at all these blogs with perfect pictures and ours were sooooo blurry. So now we are COOL with all the other bloggers. Mark and I are going to see a movie tonight so later on!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY MARK!!!!!

Okay it was yesterday and im totally lame for not posting but I wanted to do some pictures so I kept waiting and last night we were in such a rush I didnt get to. So Mark turned the big 30!!!! I cant believe we are that old or I mean he is that old. I still have 3 years to go! Last night I took him to Texas Roadhouse where a few of his friends were waiting for him and we all enjoyed an evening of yummy rolls and good humor. Its always entertaining when Joel,Jared ,Colton and Mark get together. We also had kindergarten open house last night. That was exciting. Really scary that Im going to be sending my child off into the world for 6 hours a day to experience who knows what around who knows influence. Im scared what he will come home with. I got Olivia into a preschool next year so with both of them in school, I will have some good one on one time with my sweet Owen a couple days a week. Im looking forward to august!! I had to take the boys in for shots on monday. Both of them needed 4 ouch!! IT wasnt as bad as I expected. Olivia was kind of like what the heck is going on?? Caden was brave or maybe it was a promise of a target toy,who knows. Owen did great too! He is so wonderful, he sits up really good now and his first two teeth are coming in. And he sleeps wonderfully.I couldnt ask for a better baby. Heavenly father did that so I would have another one, I guess. So happy b-day to my honey and thanks to Skip and Lynna for raising such a wonderful man for me to enjoy!!

where would we be without sibling rivalry?

Our house would be a lot more of a "happy home" thats for sure! Seriously, my children can not get along! It is driving me nuts!! I wish I would have planned for a babysitter so I could go shopping or something because it has been a long week. My sweet husband has been MIA for the last two weeks. I guess he is trying to provide for a family of 5 or something because he is working mucho hours! This is a busy time of year so I just have to be patient because in the summer it really slows down. Every night he has been getting home around 8:00 so the kids are staying up a little later and so I get a whole hour of him to myself.Then Im exhausted and want to go to bed. Needless to say we need a date night! Fridays and saturdays we usually dont have anything going on so the kids and I get cabin fever being at home all day. Olivia likes to scream whenever she doesnt like something Caden is doing and he likes to torment her. Every once in a while it will be quiet and I will look and see them playing something nicely togehter but unfortunately it doesnt last long.
Okay for Stephanie we are listing our favorite games. We of course love the classics Memory and Candyland, We like Hearts(card game),hide and go seek and especially Guitar Hero! Caden and Mark like to Rock out! Its really addicting if you start playing it.
I must give kudos to my honey who slaved away on our landscaping the other day.(well him and 5 guatamalens from the circle k on the corner) It looks wonderful. WE lost 5 trees to that "freeze" we had. so he ripped those out and planted new ones and took all of our old rock out to replace it with bigger rock. Oh and he finished our barbecue so he has been watching that show License to Grill and going crazy. Its fun to have him cook something once in a while. Its nice to have a handy husband!

Easter

I didnt have time to post about Easter so here it is. We are lame and waited till Saturday after the awesome wedding we went to ,to buy baskets. Can I just say I HATE WALMART!!!!!! That place is a nightmare especially at 11 oclock at night. Never will I go back Im a Target girl all the way! So the kids woke up and came to show us their baskets and Olivia says "I didnt get to tell the Easter bunny thank you!" It was so stinking cute! They were happy with the makeshift premade baskets and didnt even care that there wasnt very much candy. Phewww! WE got through that one okay but next year I will do better. Mark was sad he didnt get a basket of goodies too.

Back to the family

Caden and I had a little date night on thursday. We went to see the Easter pageant with aunt Amy and Hunter. It was wonderful. Caden enjoyed most of it. And after of course we went to Nielsens for a yummy concrete. For some odd reason I feel obligated to stop off at Nielsens every time I come into Mesa. Hmmm wierd, maybe because I was deprived for a good 6 or 7 months. So friday night we had a baby shower for my sister in law Emily. Brett and Emily are having a boy in about 5 weeks, Jaxon is going to be his name. We have a oberly cousin wedding tonight so Shaunasey and Jason are in town so we all went to City Hall last night.Yummmm! Good food! We converted everyone to the likings of Mayor Drinkwaters restaurant. Tonight we go out to Phoenix for the wedding. It should be alot of fun. Although I have to bring Owen because I dont have anyone I can trust to leave him with. Not to mention the fact that he is a total mommys boy. I dont know if it is because Im nursing him and dont leave him enough or just his age of separation anxiety. We will see how it goes. Mark panics any time I want to go somewhere without my little man on my side. Sometimes a moms gotta get out without a child every once and a while. Tomorrow is Easter and its a holiday of course so it makes me sad that my mom and dad arent around. We are not doing anything with my family because everyone drops the ball when they arent here. Just kidding I love you all but seriously cant we all just get along and have a dinner or something forget the fact that we would have like 25 kids running around. Ha ha!!! I guess Im just lucky to talk to most of my siblings on a regular basis. I do look forward to Chads almost daily call to share something funny or something yummy with me as we do share the love of food with all the Merrills. And Im glad my kids do get to play with their cousins. Alright enough already. Primary activity day is almost over I have to go pick up Caden.

Wow a whole week since my last post. This week has been kind of crazy! But can I just say I love Dwight Schrute and his pepper spray! The Office was wonderful.Almost worth this few weeks of nothing on t.v. Im glad Andy is back so there is competition between him and micheal for being the biggest idiot. Im kind of annoyed that nothing is happening with Pam and Jim but thats what they have to do to string us along. Mark and I are a little annoyed by 24 lately. Its the same old stuff every season we need some more EXCITEMENT! Oh yeah Lost!! What the heck?????? Is this another trick by the others to throw Juliet into the crowd? Where did they go? She has to know where they went.And where did she learn REX KWAN DO? She was just a shy docter 3 years ago! She layed Kate down! I cant wait till next week when Sayid questions or tortures her or whatever! Im not even going to start with Sanjaya! He is so annoying!!!! What is wrong with America,vote him OFF! This post is dedicated to The Soup and Joel Mchale who is so hilarious and on t.v. on friday nights! Tivo it, its great!

Seriously its hard sometimes to count your blessings but today I was thinking. While I was ironing my pile of Shirts that I have gotten behind on, I was listening to conference. Bro Holland was talking and it made me think about my parents and how I hate that they are gone but love the work they are doing in the Bolivia temple. And Im so grateful that they are safe and being watched over. Also Iam so thankful for my sweet husband and our children. They do make me laugh every day. I was being the wicked witch and telling them "Caden gets none!"(about something I dont remember) and Olivia says "Mom whats none?" I immediately forgot about being mad. Mark continues to amuse me with his Oberly humor,I love him! He also did alot on the blog for me. Thanks to my great friend Ketsy for helping with my kids and Christina for the gift certif. I got a facial for the first time in 4 years! It was wonderful! Some how time flies by and before you know it you let yourself go as a mom. I really need to make time for pampering. It really does rejuvenate you! My sweet Owen is 6 months old! I cant believe it. It goes by too quickly. I really love the first year. Its when they are 2 and get into everything that I lose my mind. He is sitting up for a good five seconds now. Its so cute. And he did good for our family pictures I was so excited to get some good shots!

Holy Blog!!

Iam amazed by this blogging stuff. All I did was leave a message for Jordan and now I have a bunch from my girlies from high school. How fun to hear from all of you. I just figured out that you can leave messages on these things. So on my list of books I put Twilight and new moon. We just read them for Book Club because Lindsays cousin is the author. Okay I was in love with this book and the characters. Absolutely mesmerized!! Its about vampires but dont let that scare you away because its a love story not gory! My friends got together to discuss and everyone loved it. Because Im not a BIG reader I didnt even notice that is is a very simple read. Its targeted more to young adults thats me right? Anyways its 500 pages and I read it in 4 days! Thats amazing for me. Mark wondered where our children were the whole time. Needless to say my housekeeping duties fell a little behind. Hopefully I can figure this computer stuff out so I can post more pictures and stuff.

I guess thats as clever as we get for now. Iam excited to do this blog so my family( mainly my mom and Dad Elder and Senora Merrill in Bolivia) can check it often and see the kids grow in the next year and a half. We are just trying to survive day to day. We are all done potty training!Yea!! Olivia is amazing. Never any accidents. And Owen is sleeping 10 sometimes 12 hours at night. WONDERFUL! He has been a great baby. Iam truly enjoying him. I think the third one has to be easy or mom wouldnt survive. Caden continues to be a BIG helper too much sometimes but we love him. These are christmas pictures but we will have new family pics soon. We should be doing them on sunday. Its impossible to make all three smile but we will see what happens. We did the easter egg hunt at Christinas yesterday. That was fun. And its already warm enough to swim,well somedays. We are very excited for summer. But I might go crazy without preschool!
