calling all mommies!

I need some advice as far as strollers go. Im thinking of buying one of those sit and stand strollers. Are they worth it? And what brand? I have been reading reviews on Babiesrus and Im confused about what I should buy. Should I just buy a smaller double srtoller that folds down more compactly or get a sit and stand? Any advice would be helpful. If you are blog hopping please leave some advice I would love to hear from who ever. BTW If anyone saw the deleted post before this Im sorry for the lapse in editing>Mark is not allowed to have my password anymore!

So I am blog hopping! I have an Evenflo double stroller, I love love love the graco duo glide that is the best double stroller i have seen. Although i debated the sit and stand for awhile and decided even though the double stroller is bulky it met my needs better. anyway good luck, i love the sit and stand idea! they are hard to find though i found out. If you do decide on a regular double the evenflo stinks

Hey Becky (denham) Jones here!
Your family absolutely adorable! It's so fun to see everyone!
Ok on to the stroller thing, I have the Graco, it fit my infant seat, so that was a plus...I really like it and havn't had any problems with it, I don't have a sit and stand, it sounds like a cool idea, I'm pretty sure my oldest would be wining to sit after only a few minutes of standing. Let us know which way you decide and if you like it or not. Good luck!

I have the Graco duo glide and love it, a little bulky but not too heavy! I was going to get a sit and stand but Rob thought that was silly and a waste of $. Good thing I have a practical husband! Anywho, we got ours brand new off e-bay for a good deal. Take a look there!

Do you want one that fits all three kids or just for two? I got one that is a double seater and then on the back is a sit and stand. It is a little long, but it is not harder to push then my old two seaters. I go through strollers like shoes, I am always trying new ones. I do like this one, but it does not fold very compact so SUV is needed. I like it because even though Mikey likes to walk, it is nice that he has an option to sit. Let me know if you want more info on it.

I had this dilemma right before blake. i had a double stroller that weighed like 100 lbs and was huge, thus I never was motivated to get it out. So I looked and looked. I almost bought the peg perego double stroller...literally it was in my cart and I was about to check out and I changed my mind. After TONS of effort looking I just bought the jeep double umbrella stroller that was less than $100. It is light weight and folds up tiny. It doesn't fit a infant seat, but since my kids only fit into my infant seat until about 4 months it isn't really a problem. I use my stroller all the time...hope this helps :)

I like the idea of a sit and stand, but i think there are times when you need to be able to strap them in. Thats really the only negative thing I can think of. I know Brody would be hoping in and out all the time.
I have a double stroller that the sits turn into face each other. I've really liked it. It also is huge. i also like my double jogger for trips to the zoo and around the neighborhood, but I think it's too wide for shopping. I guess you need to figure out when you'll use it most. I really like the sound of the double with the stand option too, you've got the suv, so no problem there. Good luck, it's always a hard choice!

Hi Leslie,
So I have to admit I come to your blog (via Melissa and Greg). My friend just purchased the Peg Perego Joovy. You can go to strollers.com and they ship for free. She loves it. It only fits an infant seat and you can strap another kid in. (Fits 2). It's pretty cute and light weight and I think I'll be getting int when I get a second child. Anyways, just thought I'd say hi and let you know I look at your blog! Glad to see you guys are doing well. Your kids are gorgeous and your son looks just like Mark, it's amazing! :)

leslie... this is emily (allen)...i came across you blog stalking...

well, i will tell you what i do. i am TOTALLY cheap, and TOTALLY a minimalist.
SO... i bought a cheapo umbrella double stroller that reclines (about 50$) it was not too bulky, and lasted from the time i had my 2nd kid through the first 2 months of my 3rd, but it broke on a rogue sprinkler head...
SO... i still have my graco stroller that fits the carseat thinggy... i put the babe in that, and make the older one stand on the footrest and hold on to the canopy. i am a bad mom, but it works, and i didnt have to go out and waste any more money. again, cheap and minimalist... BUT that works just fine. doesnt that count as a sit/stand one?
